Meet The Team


David Owen

Managing Director

David started Owen Farm Services in 2013. After growing up living and working on the family dairy farm, David studied Agriculture and Management at Aberdeen University before working in food production and agricultural consultancy. In 2013, David made the decision to start Owen Farm Services, to deliver practical advice to farms and make farm consultancy more dynamic and technology based.

As our Managing Director, David oversees the business and works to develop new services. David has a broad range of expertise across agriculture and primarily gives budget, business and technical advice to clients. He is passionate about the use of technology in agriculture and has been instrumental in developing software packages such as Agri Ignite and Safe Agriculture.

David is a keen curler and represented Team GB at the 2003 Winter Universiade in Tarvisio.

Laura Grieve

Senior Agricultural Consultant

Laura is a seasoned agricultural consultant with a wealth of experience in optimizing farm operations and enhancing agricultural sustainability. Beginning her career in advanced animal breeding, she has since specialized in technical consultancy, providing expert guidance to dairy farmers across Scotland and Northern England. Her strategic insights and industry knowledge enable her to offer tailored solutions that drive productivity and profitability for farmers.

Laura's passion for sustainable agriculture drives her commitment to implementing best practices and innovative technologies. She excels in troubleshooting on farm and the practical implementation of solutions

Beyond her professional role, Laura enjoys staying engaged with agricultural communities, participating in industry conferences, and mentoring aspiring professionals and graduates. With young children, quality family time is incredibly important, and when time allows she loves reading a good book

Natasha Cox

Agricultural Administrator

Natasha serves as our Agricultural Administrator, providing essential support in managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Her meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills are instrumental in maintaining efficient workflows.

Natasha's passion for agriculture extends to her administrative role, where she actively contributes to project coordination, data management, and client communications. Her dedication to accuracy and reliability helps uphold our standards of excellence.

Outside of work, Natasha enjoys exploring new agricultural technologies, attending industry events, and volunteering in community initiatives that promote agricultural education and awareness.

Maggie Wilson

Operations Manager

Maggie joined Owen Farm Services in 2022. She comes from a project management background with experience from the Oil and Gas industry and is a graduate of Aberdeen University and Robert Gordon University.

Maggie is our Operations Manager and leads on delivering projects, marketing and is currently leading on a contract with Strathclyde University as a Digital Dairy Chain Innovation Broker.

She is a keen curler and is a two time Silver Medalist at the Scottish Women's Curling Championships.

Eilidh Kennedy

Agricultural Consultant

Eilidh joined Owen Farm Services in 2019. Having grown up on the family dairy farm, Eilidh studied Agriculture at SRUC.

Eilidh is an Agricultural Consultant and specialises in livestock compliance, ROMS mobility scoring, slurry and manure management plans, nutrient management and NVZ records, budget and business plans, grant applications, specialist advice funding and carbon audits.

Outside of work Eilidh enjoys horse riding.

Patricia McKerlie

Graduate Trainee Agricultural Consultant

Patricia joined Owen Farm Services in July 2023 having previously studied Agriculture at both SRUC Barony and Edinburgh.

Patricia is a trainee agricultural consultant and works closely with our senior consultants to gain valuable insights into agricultural management and crop optimization. Patricia can assist with IACS applications, livestock records, carbon audits and other specialist advice funding.

Outside of work, Patricia enjoys working with and showing her flock of Pedigree Suffolk Sheep.

Rachel Torrance

Graduate Trainee Agricultural Consultant

Rachel is a Graduate Trainee Agricultural Consultant, bringing fresh insights and enthusiasm to our team. With a strong academic background in agricultural science, she is eager to apply her knowledge to practical consulting projects.

Rachel's expertise lies in sustainable farming practices, soil health, and crop management. Her analytical skills and innovative thinking make her a valuable asset in developing customized solutions for our clients.

In her role, Rachel assists with field research, data analysis, and client consultations, ensuring that every project benefits from her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach. Her commitment to sustainability and agricultural advancement aligns perfectly with our mission.

Outside of work, Rachel has a passion for photography, often capturing the beauty of rural landscapes and farming activities.

Software Developer

Outside of work, Laudy enjoys playing guitar, exploring new technologies, listening to podcasts and cherishing quality moments with family.
