If this effects you, don’t panic!
1. If we’ve done your SAF, it’s done properly (every year) - not its a copy / paste from last year!
2. We use digital mapping to check for field changes.
3. We know where the deductions are, so if they change we can see them.
4. If you have already submitted a SAF changes can be made.
5. We’ve been pushing to get inspection results before they were implemented and in most cases got them eventually.
It’s unfortunate that this has happened, and in reality the system SHOULD be locked down for the SAF window, but we’ll work with it and the changes are within the current price of the SAF.
There’s not much time left but if you do want your SAF completed, or just a question answered, give us a message and we’ll do our best to answer it.
NFU Scotland have raised concerns with the Scottish Government after it emerged that a significant number of businesses submitting a SAF have been issued with mapping changes just days before the deadline.
Some businesses that received a land inspection in 2018 have begun receiving letters and revised maps from Scottish Government, with the SAF deadline only days away.
